Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA FICO Senior Consultant with 6–9 years of experience to support complex Finance transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine strong SAP FICO functional expertise with knowledge of Costa Rica fiscal and statutory requirements, including Free Trade Zone operations, and will work closely with Finance, Tax, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Technology stakeholders.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Support the design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA FICO solutions across Financial Accounting, Controlling, Cost Accounting, inventory valuation, and intercompany processes.
Support Costa Rica statutory, tax, and fiscal requirements, including Free Trade Zone processes and PROCOMER reporting/compliance requirements.
Participate in requirements gathering, fit-to-standard workshops, solution design, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
Review and optimize product costing and cost accounting processes, including standard costing, year-end cost rolls, scrap factors, and inventory-related accounting.
Support the design and validation of intercompany transactions and Stock Transport Order (STO) pricing and ownership processes.
Work closely with Finance, Tax, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Technology stakeholders to translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
Analyze existing finance processes and identify opportunities for simplification, automation, improved controls, and enhanced reporting.
Support functional documentation, testing, defect resolution, user training, and deployment activities.
Provide functional guidance based on SAP leading practices while ensuring alignment with local regulatory and compliance requirements.
Must have skills: The candidate should have strong functional experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance and Controlling (FICO), with hands-on experience supporting end-to-end implementation and transformation programs. Strong knowledge of Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, inventory valuation, intercompany processes, and Costa Rica tax, statutory, and fiscal requirements is required. Experience supporting Free Trade Zone (FTZ) requirements and PROCOMER-related reporting and compliance is highly valued. English proficiency at C1 level is required.
Good to have skills: SAP S/4HANA certification and exposure to SAP localization, electronic invoicing, tax integrations, Fiori, BTP, automation, or reporting solutions will be considered an advantage.
Experience: Minimum 6 years of SAP FICO experience is required, preferably including multiple SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation programs and client-facing delivery experience.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Strong functional knowledge of SAP S/4HANA FICO, including FI, CO, Cost Accounting, inventory accounting, and intercompany processes.
Hands-on experience with product costing, standard costing, cost center accounting, inventory valuation, and financial integration with MM and manufacturing processes.
Strong understanding of Costa Rica tax and statutory requirements, preferably including Free Trade Zone (FTZ) operations and PROCOMER reporting.
Experience supporting end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation or transformation programs.
Knowledge of integration between FICO and MM, SD, PP, and other Supply Chain modules.
Understanding of SAP localization, tax interfaces, reporting, enhancements, and integration concepts.
Experience in manufacturing environments is highly valued.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, client-facing, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional business, Finance, Tax, and Technology teams in a global environment.
