Operations Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to provide leadership and support for its U.S. plant operations. This position will focus on improving safety, quality, service, productivity and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee production, staffing, quality, maintenance, safety and operational planning.

• Work with plant leadership to improve teamwork, efficiency and overall performance.

• Drive continuous-improvement initiatives using Lean and structured problem-solving tools.

• Coach and develop plant leadership and high-potential employees.

• Strengthen customer relationships and support supply-chain initiatives.

• Maintain compliance with environmental, health and safety requirements.

• Support quality systems, customer audits and required certifications.

• Oversee plant training processes in partnership with Human Resources.

• Ensure SAP transactions and operational controls are completed accurately.

• Negotiate with vendors to improve pricing, terms and service.

• Support HACCP and food-safety programs.

• Lead monthly operations meetings and follow up on key priorities.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience in a plastics manufacturing environment. Injection molding or blow molding.

• Strong background in operations, process improvement and people development.

• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Kaizen and continuous-improvement practices.

• Hands-on leadership style with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Working knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations.

• Experience working with customers, auditors, vendors and employees at all levels.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP experience is preferred.

• Willingness and ability to travel as required.
