The Opportunity:

We have an immediate opportunity for an Infoblox Systems Administrator supporting the United States Africa Command (USAFRICOM) located in Stuttgart, Germany. In this role, you will serve as the core technical authority managing and modernizing the command's enterprise-wide Infoblox NIOS Grid infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the high availability, security posture, and seamless operation of critical DNS, DHCP, and IPAM services across strategic and operational theater networks.

Responsibilities:

• Infoblox Grid Management: Design, deploy, and maintain a highly available Infoblox NIOS Grid architecture, including Grid Masters and distributed members.

• DNS Engineering: Engineer and safeguard enterprise authoritative and recursive DNS services; configure DNSSEC validation, complex traffic distribution policies

• DHCP Operations: Architect fault-tolerant DHCP failover associations to reliably serve dynamic addressing, custom vendor options, and secure lease allocations to multi-platform assets command-wide.

• IP Address Management (IPAM): Modernize global IP address management (IPAM), establishing unified tracking, structured VLSM/subnet allocation workflows, and synchronized asset discovery across on-premises and virtualized/cloud networks.

• Lifecycle, Patching & Continuity: Orchestrate zero-downtime NIOS firmware upgrades, security hotfixes, hardware migrations, and routine disaster recovery validation across the command's distributed infrastructure.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

• Currently a U.S. Citizen.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent years of professional experience).

• 5+ years of hands-on experience dedicated to Infoblox NIOS administration, enterprise IP address management, and core DDI engineering in mission-critical environments.

• Deep technical understanding of core internet protocols and networking concepts including BIND, DHCP options/leases, DNS record types, and IP subnetting/VLSM.

• Hands-on experience developing scripts or automation workflows utilizing Infoblox WAPI (REST API), Python, or Ansible for bulk data manipulation and infrastructure management.

• Must possess an active DoD 8570.01-M / 8140.03 IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent).

• Must meet German TESA (Technical Expert Status Accreditation) / SOFA requirements and possess a valid U.S. passport.

Preferred:

• Infoblox Core Engineer (CICE) or Infoblox Core Admin (CICA) certifications.

• Experience with Infoblox BloxOne Threat Defense or Cloud Network Automation.

• Scripting experience (Python or Perl) for mass data manipulation within the Infoblox environment.

• Experience integrating Infoblox with VMware vCenter or Microsoft Azure.

• Prior technical support experience within a Combatant Command (COCOM) environment.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$82,700 - 173,900 USD
