  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and quantity takeoffs from plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Analyze project requirements, scope, and potential risks to determine appropriate pricing strategy.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field staff to understand constructability and productivity rates.
  • Solicit and review subcontractor and vendor quotes.
  • Assist in the development and submission of competitive bid proposals.
  • Participate in bid reviews and pre-bid meetings.
  • Maintain up-to-date unit pricing and historical cost data.
  • Support post-bid transition to operations with clear and organized estimate documentation.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of estimating experience in civil construction, site development, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and methods.
  • Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., HCSS, Bluebeam, Excel).
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
