As part of public transit, mining, and environmental projects, landscape architecture plays a key role in creating urban and rural environments that foster the seamless integration of transportation systems with the built and natural environment. This approach aims to improve efficiency, sustainability, and quality of life while ensuring infrastructure is harmoniously integrated into its surroundings. Key areas of focus include urban, peri-urban, and rural integration, nature-based solutions, accessibility and inclusivity, enhanced user experience, safety, intermodality, as well as local identity and aesthetics.
Your role
- Prepare analysis and design reports, including visual analyses, site assessments, landscape studies, and visual renderings.
- Develop and evaluate landscape architecture concepts aligned with sustainable development principles and professional standards.
- Participate in the technical design of landscape developments, including the preparation of plans and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering, urban planning, environmental, and other project teams to ensure consistency across infrastructure projects.
- Maintain effective communication among stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
- Provide technical advice and recommendations to clients and partners.
- Contribute to the seamless integration of transportation infrastructure within urban, suburban, and rural environments..
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in landscape design, ideally within sustainable mobility infrastructure projects.
- Ability to communicate effectively when presenting projects to clients, stakeholders, and local authorities.
- Knowledge of public transit, universal accessibility, multimodality, and sustainable site development solutions.
- Interest in and/or experience with construction site supervision and possession of a valid ASP Construction card.
- Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Illustrator, and Revit, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to communicate effectively in both French and English, verbally and in writing.*
*This position requires knowledge of a language other than French, namely English, as the clients and/or suppliers you will interact with are primarily English-speaking and located outside Québec.
