About the Role
As a Consultant Sr. Lead, you will serve as a functional leader supporting commercial loan servicing (CLS) implementations for financial institution clients. You will partner with customers, project teams, and product stakeholders to define business requirements, design effective solutions, and ensure successful delivery outcomes. This role combines deep commercial lending domain expertise with consultative problem-solving to drive customer success, operational efficiency, and long-term value. Success is measured through successful implementations, stakeholder satisfaction, solution quality, and business impact.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead discovery, requirements gathering, and solution scoping for complex commercial loan servicing initiatives.
- Partner with clients to define business objectives, implementation strategies, and desired outcomes.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, system designs, and implementation plans.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in commercial loan servicing during client engagements, demonstrations, and workshops.
- Facilitate cross-functional solution design sessions to align business, operational, and technical stakeholders.
- Assess process improvement opportunities and recommend scalable, efficient servicing workflows.
- Evaluate the impact of system and process changes on users, clients, and business operations.
- Guide customers on implementation best practices, risk mitigation, and change management strategies.
- Provide oversight of configuration activities and ensure high-quality project deliverables.
- Mentor consultants and contribute to knowledge sharing, practice development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial loan servicing processes, operations, and lifecycle management.
- Experience leading end-to-end software implementation projects within financial services or banking environments.
- Strong skills in business analysis, requirements elicitation, process modeling, and solution design.
- Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and influence decision-making across multiple levels.
- Advanced problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to deliver client-focused solutions while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing commercial lending, servicing, or banking technology platforms in a vendor or consulting environment.
- Knowledge of commercial lending regulations, risk management practices, and industry standards.
- Experience facilitating large-scale workshops, solution demonstrations, and executive-level presentations.
- Familiarity with project estimation, implementation planning, and resource coordination.
- Experience mentoring junior consultants and supporting professional development activities.
- Knowledge of emerging technology trends impacting commercial lending and loan servicing operations.
