Job Title: Renal Registered Nurse (Dialysis / Nephrology RN)
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Renal Registered Nurse (RN) to manage care for patients with end-stage renal disease and acute kidney conditions. In this role, you will perform dialysis treatments, monitor fluid/electrolyte balances, administer specialized medications, and collaborate with nephrology teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Renal & Dialysis Care: Administer specialized renal nursing treatments, monitor hemodialysis/peritoneal access sites, and evaluate patient tolerance before, during, and post-procedure.
- Clinical Monitoring: Track lab values, assess fluid overload or electrolyte imbalances, and adjust care plans in accordance with physician orders.
- Patient & Family Education: Educate renal patients on dietary restrictions, fluid intake management, medication adherence, and shunt/access care.
- Crisis Management: Identify acute complications during treatment and initiate rapid clinical interventions when necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed, accurate medical records adhering to clinical protocols and state health standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Specialty Experience: Minimum 3+ years of recent, dedicated Renal/Dialysis clinical experience [Required].
- Transportation: Must possess reliable personal transportation [Required].
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in Massachusetts [Required].
- Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].
- Core Competencies: Deep knowledge of nephrology care, access site management, strong patient-advocacy skills, and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
