The Role
As our Senior People Operations Specialist, you will be our very first People team hire on the ground. You will play a pivotal role in establishing our local presence, building scalable HR processes, and nurturing a vibrant, compliant, and inclusive company culture.
This is a hands-on role that will be responsible for providing the full spectrum of People Operations (HR) services and onsite People Business Partner triage, with a focus on our Poland office, but also supporting across the EMEA region. You will collaborate closely with our global People team, predominantly in the UK, to ensure our Polish employees have an exceptional employee experience from day one.
The successful candidate will have enthusiasm for the challenge, require flexibility in thinking, and be able to adjust quickly to address new priorities.
Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Warsaw. The current range for this role is 167,000 - 200,000 złoty (base salary) .

What You’ll Do
- Serve as the subject matter expert on local labour law, and statutory requirements
- First point of contact for HR & Workplace Ops inquiries from our Poland employees
- Work closely with our Workplace Operations team to ensure our in-office employee experience remains consistent with all other offices. This might include access control, health & safety, supporting snacks and everything in between.
- Collaborate with the team to help run our benefits and perks programmes, from day-to-day administration to advising on customary practices during renewal planning
- Own the end-to-end local onboarding experience to make new hires feel welcomed, supported, and equipped. Manage smooth offboarding processes.
- Partner with UK-based People Business Partners to support the effective management and resolution of employee relations matters
- Provide administration for people systems (e.g. Workday)
- Maintain clean, accurate employee data within our HRIS, keeping employee files audit-ready
- Help adapt global company culture to local nuances, fostering a collaborative, transparent, and engaging workplace environment.
- Advise on local immigration requirements, resolving complex issues as they arise
- Manage local vendor relationships
- Support with customising global HR policies to fit the Polish legal framework.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience, ideally in a fast-paced, growing global tech company
- You are comfortable making decisions independently and exhibit strong problem-solving in the moment
- You understand the sensitivity of confidential information
- Experience working with HR systems, ideally Workday, and Google Suite.
- You have in-depth knowledge of Polish laws, guidelines, and compliance regulations relative to employment
- You have an interest in working with not only Poland, but other locations across EMEA
- You know how to prioritise your time and can handle multiple projects at once
- Fluent Polish proficiency alongside fluent written and spoken English
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can stay organised without missing a small detail
