This is a Lead P4 position at Director level, which is part of the job family responsible for senior Integration role.

Communicate regularly with product leads across the technology organization and discuss opportunities for improvement to existing and future technology solutions.
Lead the operational oversight and modernization of the Real Time Market Data team, ensuring platform stability, readiness, and successful execution of infrastructure changes across approximately 200 production hosts.
Drive execution of TCM activities, mandatory software upgrades, infrastructure migrations, and post-checkout validations to ensure operational integrity and minimize production risk.
Develop automation solutions and operational tooling using Python, Shell scripting, and AI-assisted development technologies to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and increase platform reliability.
Build and maintain agentic workflows, reusable automation assets, and AI-driven development tools utilizing technologies such as Copilot to support operational and engineering productivity across RTMD.
Partner with Development, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to support production deployments, platform upgrades, troubleshooting activities, and strategic modernization initiatives.
Drive continuous improvements in monitoring, automation, resiliency, and operational controls to support the reliability and scalability of Morgan Stanley's market data platforms. Ability to effectively manage multiple functions or guide junior staff and initiatives.
Advanced understanding of business line and discipline with some knowledge of competitive environment and other disciplines.
Experience in managing and supporting large-scale production environments, including market data infrastructure, enterprise monitoring platforms, and operational tooling.
Experience in infrastructure modernization, platform migrations, software deployments, and production change management across distributed systems.
Expertise in Python and Shell scripting for automation, monitoring, operational tooling, and platform management.
Ability to design and implement proactive monitoring, observability, and health-check frameworks to improve system reliability and operational readiness.
Experience in AI-assisted software development and automation, including the use of tools such as GitHub Copilot and agentic workflows to improve engineering productivity and operational efficiency.
Understanding of Linux-based infrastructure, application lifecycle management, scheduling frameworks, and production support processes.
Experience collaborating with Development, Infrastructure, and Operations teams to deliver complex technical initiatives and ensure production stability.
Ability to troubleshoot complex application, infrastructure, and operational issues while balancing risk, reliability, and business priorities.
Understanding of market data systems, feed processing environments, and high-availability production platforms is preferred.
At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
