Overview
The Quality and Food Safety Auditor Supervisor ensures the food we make is safe for our customers.
The QFSA supervisor will lead the PM shift team and the night shift team to audit our ingredients, processes and products.
You will be accountable for the performance of the team on shift, prioritising tasks to ensure compliance to schedules.
You'll need to be a people-person with great team-working skills as well as being diligent and focused in attention to detail.
You'll need to enjoy working in a demanding environment and be able to stay focused with tight deadlines to work to.
This team is part of the technical department, which can be described as the ‘Conscience of the Business’.
It has a core remit of keeping the business and our customers safe by ensuring quality of our food meets the standards we are proud to achieve.
This position is a fixed PM shift: 1.45pm to 9.45pm, Monday to Friday.
£37825.32 per annum + shift allowance + bonus + benefits

Responsibilities
- Ensure food safety, quality, and compliance standards are consistently achieved across site.
- Carry out audits and inspections in line with BRC and HACCP requirements.
- Investigate quality issues and customer complaints, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
- Manage food safety and quality non-conformances, driving corrective and preventative actions.
- Support traceability exercises and product investigations when required.
- Monitor product quality against agreed specifications and standards.
- Assess risks associated with raw materials and incoming goods.
- Manage supplier quality concerns, concessions, and product rejections.
- Support the operation and compliance of food safety monitoring and detection systems.
- Coordinate testing activities and maintain accurate quality documentation.
- Promote a strong food safety culture through training, inductions, and coaching.
- Work closely with production and technical teams to continuously improve quality performance.
About you

- Experience supervising a team:

Desirable:
- Degree, or equivalent, in relevant subject
- BRCGS experience
- Auditing skills/ experience
