As an Associate R&D Engineer based in Mansfield, MA, you will play a key role in the development of innovative Joint Repair technologies that help improve patient outcomes around the world. Working alongside a talented and collaborative new product development team, you will contribute across the full product lifecycle from concept through launch while gaining hands on experience in a fast paced, purpose driven environment
What will you be doing?
Contribute as a technical team member on new product development projects focused on Sports Medicine solutions.
Design, develop, verify, and validate new products from concept through design transfer and product launch.
Create prototypes and support verification and validation testing, including authoring protocols and reports.
Develop and maintain design control documentation including user needs, design inputs, risk assessments, and usability assessments while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
Partner with manufacturing engineering and external suppliers to deliver manufacturable product designs.
Develop and validate biomechanical and mechanical testing methods for sports medicine repair devices.
Engage with surgeons, marketing, and sales teams to understand clinical needs and customer requirements.
Support intellectual property activities, competitive product analysis, and product performance evaluations.
What will you need to be successful?
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
Approximately 0 to 3 years of engineering or product development experience within a regulated or technical environment.
Knowledge of SolidWorks, mechanical design, stress analysis, manufacturing techniques, and statistics.
Strong collaboration and relationship building skills with internal and external partners.
Ability to understand, interpret, follow, and continuously improve quality systems and processes.
Excellent organizational, time management, written communication, and presentation skills.
Willingness to travel up to 15% as required.

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $68,250.00 - $102,500.00 USD annually and the compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s qualifications, job-related knowledge/skills, geographical location. You will be entitled to receive bonus and benefits, which include medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401k, tuition reimbursement, medical leave programs, and a variety of wellness offerings.
