Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Engagement in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will monitor and patrol a data center location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents and supporting a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, observe and report security-related concerns, interact professionally with visitors and personnel, and use computer or tablet technology to document activity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a data center environment.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of data center buildings, exterior areas, parking locations, and perimeter boundaries to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff information while communicating professionally with site personnel and emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
