Assistant Manager - Quality Assurance

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of product and material quality by overseeing quality assurance processes, identifying and resolving quality issues, and implementing preventive measures to drive continuous improvement. This role supports operational efficiency, ensures compliance with regulatory and company quality standards, and promotes a culture of quality through effective communication, attention to detail, and cross-functional collaboration.

 

Ensure the timely and effective implementation of all company quality policies, procedures, and standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Oversee quality assurance activities to ensure garments meet customer specifications and company quality requirements before shipment.

Conduct quality audits at various stages of production to identify defects, ensure compliance, and maintain product quality.

Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process, from raw materials to finished garments, ensuring adherence to established quality standards.

Perform inline inspections, pre-final audits, and final inspections to verify product conformity prior to dispatch.

Manage fabric and material quality control by inspecting incoming materials and ensuring they meet required specifications before production.

Investigate quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints, and work collaboratively with Production, Merchandising, and other departments to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Review production batch records and quality documentation to ensure compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.

Audit raw materials, trims, packaging materials, labels, and finished products to ensure compliance with approved specifications and quality requirements.

Monitor in-process production by conducting visual inspections and measurements, identifying deviations, and communicating necessary corrective actions to Production Supervisors.

Analyse quality data, identify recurring issues and trends, and recommend process improvements to reduce defects and improve operational efficiency.

Provide proactive recommendations to Production and cross-functional teams to enhance product quality, productivity, and manufacturing efficiency.

Ensure all inspection, testing, and quality records are accurately maintained and readily available for internal and external audits.

Lead, mentor, train, and evaluate Quality Inspectors and quality assurance personnel to build a high-performing quality team.

Promote a culture of continuous improvement, quality awareness, and compliance across all manufacturing operations.

Support internal and external quality audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings and corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with customer requirements, company standards, and applicable industry regulations throughout the production process.
