You will be responsible to:

  • Organize and prioritize daily activities to ensure timely and accurate sample analysis, supporting laboratory plans and KPIs.
  • Adhere to laboratory testing schedules to maintain an efficient Quality Control (QC) system.
  • Perform analysis of raw materials, intermediates, finished products, and other analytical services in compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Take ownership of generated analytical data, ensuring compliance with GMP, HSE, operating procedures, and industry standards.
  • Maintain laboratory records, notebooks, and checklists in accordance with GMP requirements and internal procedures.
  • Ensure high standards of laboratory housekeeping, hygiene, and compliance.
  • Perform routine calibration, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Request and manage laboratory consumables and spare parts as required.
  • Identify, document, and escalate discrepancies, deviations, and non-conformances.
  • Raise and support investigations related to OOS, OOT, atypical results, deviations, and QC incidents.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders using established processes and systems.
  • Support internal and external audits as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, projects, and other laboratory activities.
  • Proactively seek clarification and information when requirements or data are unclear.
  • Complete annual performance management activities, including self-assessments.
  • Perform all activities safely and in compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Ensure QC activities are conducted in accordance with GMP, regulatory requirements, customer specifications, company procedures, and quality standards.
  • Support the management and control of Quality Control activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and contractual obligations.

We are looking to recruit a Candidate:

Education

  • BSc degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or another relevant scientific discipline (required).
  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent secondary education.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a Quality Control laboratory or a similar analytical role.
  • Experience working within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or related industry environment (required).
  • Knowledge of GMP regulations and HSE requirements (preferred).

Technical Skills

  • Good understanding of analytical techniques, laboratory practices, and GMP requirements.
  • Experience using laboratory instrumentation and supporting equipment maintenance activities.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to follow procedures, regulations, and quality standards accurately.

Communication & Languages

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Other Requirements

  • Availability to work a 12-hour rotating shift pattern:
    • 2 Day Shifts (07:00-19:00)
    • 2 Night Shifts (19:00-07:00)
    • 4 Days Off
    • Cycle repeats
  • Demonstrated ability to perform duties safely, effectively, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
