Description

Your job is more than a job

Help us turn great ideas into meaningful results!

The Performance Improvement Manager plays a key role in helping LCMC Health continuously improve the way we work, serve our patients, and support our teams. In this non-clinical role, you’ll lead enterprise-wide performance improvement initiatives designed to strengthen operational efficiency, effectiveness, accountability, and service excellence across the organization.

Working alongside operational, financial, administrative, and support service leaders, you’ll bring together people, data, and innovative ideas to identify opportunities, solve complex challenges, and create sustainable improvements. From developing project plans and analyzing performance data to facilitating cross-functional collaboration and measuring results, you’ll help turn insights into action and ensure improvements make a lasting impact.

If you’re energized by solving problems, connecting people, and finding better ways to do things, this is an opportunity to make a difference across an entire healthcare organization.

General Duties

  • Lead and support performance improvement initiatives focused on quality, operational efficiency, accountability, and service excellence.
  • Use structured project management and continuous improvement methodologies to scope, plan, execute, and monitor initiatives from concept through completion.
  • Develop clear project charters, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and success measures.
  • Analyze data to uncover performance gaps, trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, reports, and other tools that make performance easier to understand and act upon.
  • Bring together cross-functional teams and facilitate working groups to build alignment, encourage collaboration, and move initiatives forward.
  • Translate complex data and insights into clear, actionable recommendations and implementation plans.
  • Establish meaningful performance metrics and monitor progress against defined goals and targets.
  • Help teams standardize, document, and successfully transition improved processes into sustainable day-to-day operations.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, innovation, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner with leaders and stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve processes, outcomes, and the overall experience for patients, families, and employees.

Experience Qualifications

  • Six (6) years of experience in performance improvement, operations management, analytics, project management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success leading or supporting complex, cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, Analytics, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Master's degree (MBA, MPA, MS Analytics, or similar) preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project management certification preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt (SSGB) preferred, but not required.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred, but not required.

Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced project management, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities with the ability to turn data into meaningful action.
  • Proficiency with data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence across diverse teams.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate complex projects, and keep initiatives moving forward.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and passion for finding smarter, more effective ways to work.
