We are seeking a highly motivated Revenue Cycle Senior Billing Specialist to support the Hospice Division by driving accurate and timely billing and collections. This role ensures clean claims processing for all payer types—including Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, managed care, and private pay—across multiple branch locations within a defined region. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in hospice or home health billing, excels in communication and troubleshooting, and thrives in a fast-paced revenue cycle environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process initial and rebill claims for all payer sources, including government and commercial payers
Monitor billing reports and resolve errors to ensure timely submission
Verify and reconcile invoices with accounts receivable records
Respond to billing inquiries from branches, payers, and internal teams
Act as backup during supervisor absences and mentor less experienced staff
Prepare claim forms and supplemental documentation as required
Review and respond to Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and payer denials
Collaborate with team members to resolve overdue accounts and prevent delays in payment
Assist in training new hires and contribute to continuous process improvement
About You
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
3–5 years of hospice or home health billing/reimbursement experience
Familiarity with CMS regulations, ICD-10, and CPT coding
Working knowledge of billing platforms and clearinghouses such as DDE, Waystar, E-solutions, and Nthrive
Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Homecare HomeBase experience a plus
Preferred Skills:
Demonstrated ability to manage high volumes of detailed billing tasks
Ability to analyze AR data and implement collection strategies
Experience working within a multi-site or multi-state healthcare organization
Knowledge of hospice documentation and billing compliance standards
