THE OPPORTUNITY 

Join the team at Pāmu’s Endurance farm as a Dairy Farm Assistant.  This is a hands-on dairy role where you’ll be part of the day-to-day running of the farm.  

You’ll work with a supportive team and farm manager, and build your skills across milking, calving, feeding, fencing, moving stock, animal health and caring for the environment. 

No two days are quite the same. You’ll have the chance to learn from experienced people, grow your confidence, and keep developing your dairy farming career. 

ABOUT YOU 

You might already have dairy farming experience, or you may be ready to take the next step in your farming career. 

What matters most is that you enjoy working with animals, like being outdoors, and are willing to learn. You’ll be part of a team that supports each other, works safely, and takes pride in caring for the animals, the farm and the environment. 

You’ll do well in this role if you: 

• Enjoy practical, hands-on work 
• Are comfortable working with animals 

• Can ask questions and speak up when you need help 

• Like working as part of a team 

• Are keen to keep learning and building your skills 

• Have a current restricted or full New Zealand driver licence 

Experience in a similar role is preferred – but not essential as we will provide training.

THE PĀMU FARM 

Endurance Dairy, nestled in the stunning Central Plateau, is part of Pāmu’s Taupō Pastoral Complex. The farm operates a twice-daily milking schedule, with 800 cows milked through a modern 54-bail rotary shed, calving in the autumn.

The dairy is well equipped, featuring in-shed feeding and automatic drafting, with Automatic Cup Removers (ACRs) scheduled for installation in January 2027, reflecting Pāmu’s ongoing investment in farm technology and efficiency. The farm is also Halter operated, providing opportunities to work with leading-edge farming systems.

The dedicated farm team, consisting of four members including the Farm Manager, leads by example. They work to support one another and prioritise the safety of both our animals and staff. The team operates on 6 days on, 2 days off roster, with an extended 6 days on, 3 days off rotation over the dry period, helping to provide a healthy work-life balance.

The area offers excellent schooling options, a friendly and supportive local community, a school bus service, and easy access to a wide range of recreational activities, including some of New Zealand’s best outdoor pursuits.
