Head of Tax Reporting

The Role..

The Head of Tax Reporting (based in our 180 Strand Office) is responsible for preparing the consolidated tax provisions for the Group, ensuring that Group tax forecasting is delivered timely and accurately, and taking the lead on wider initiatives such as Pillar 2 and CbCR.

This role is a key tax leadership hire and will report into the Director of Tax, based in London, and will work closely with other key members of the tax team in London and the US.

Key Responsibilities..

• Own the process for the provision of tax numbers for inclusion in the Group’s consolidated annual accounts under US GAAP, including:
  • Production of the tax consolidation
  • Calculation of solus tax provisions for all worldwide entities
  • Managing the federal and state calculations for the US, as well as BEAT, NCTI, 163j, tax depreciation, loss offsets etc with input from the US tax manager
  • Calculation of Uncertain Tax Provisions in line with ASC 740
  • Recognition and disclosure of deferred tax assets and liabilities under US GAAP principles
  • Preparation of consolidated accounts disclosures
  • Management of the relationship with the external auditors ensuring a smooth process from planning through to clearance
• Preparing tax numbers and managing effective tax rate for inclusion in the Group’s quarterly reporting and forecasts. Building and operating a new forecast model.
• Responsible for preparing tax provisions under UK GAAP for UK statutory accounts, and management of the associated audit process
• Responsible for preparing tax provisions under US GAAP for US subsidiaries, and management of the associated audit process
• Responsible for cash tax forecasting and management across the group
• Responsible for the preparation of the Group’s public and regular CbCR reports
• Take the lead on integrating the Group’s new ERP into our tax reporting processes and developing new processes to support the various tax reporting workstreams including potential implementation of tax reporting software to replace the existing Excel-based solution
• Take the lead on and coordinate the provision of data for preparation of Pillar II and QDMTT submissions by external providers

What we’re looking for..

• Qualified Accountant, ACA, ACCA, CPA, CTA etc
• Experienced in delivering consolidated tax provisions in a similarly complex multinational environment
• Very strong technical accounting knowledge US GAAP experience preferred
• Process orientated individual who is competent at and enjoys building processes and improving them
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and team player
