Sales Operations Specialist Full time
Salary £32,580 - £38,010 (dependent on experience)
Hybrid working
Southampton (3 days in office)
The Opportunity
Support the optimisation and effectiveness of Ordnance Survey’s sales operations, ensuring reporting systems, processes and data enable high-quality performance and decision making across Customer teams.
This is an important role within our commercial operations, working closely with Customer and Finance leaders and the Operations Leads to strengthen how we manage pipeline, reporting and performance insight. You’ll help ensure that sales activity can be optimised through your work and is supported by clear management information, reliable data and effective insight tools, enabling consistency and efficiency across teams.
You’ll play a key role in improving how we use data, systems and reporting to support planning, track progress and drive better commercial outcomes.
What You’ll Do
Sales Tools, Processes & Optimisation
Work with the Sales Operations team to develop, configure and improve sales reporting tools, processes and frameworks, supporting teams to adopt consistent and efficient ways of working.
Insight & Performance Reporting
Ensure accurate and reliable data and reporting, developing clear dashboards, reports and management information to support performance tracking and decision making.
Commercial Support
Support pipeline and lead management processes, helping to provide and develop insight, materials and reporting to enable effective sales reviews and tracking against targets.
CRM & Data Management
Support and configure CRM systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics), maintaining strong data quality while to support effective and consistent usage across teams.
Development of indicators
Analysis and monitoring of usage to deliver meaningful analytics and insights, enabling understanding of how people use the tools, driving optimisation (including performance management), and assessing how our products are being consumed.
Knowledge Management & Enablement
Equip and train leads / teams in systems use and to understand the tools for leaders, specific dashboards and knowledge to drive team performance.
About You
You are a highly organised and analytical individual with strong attention to detail and a clear interest in improving processes, systems and performance.
Demonstrable experience working in sales analytics, tooling operations, commercial support or similar analytical roles
Strong understanding of sales processes, including pipeline management, lead tracking, forecasting and performance reporting (in the context of the provision of power BI dashboards)
Practical analytic experience working with CRM systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce) and maintaining data quality
Strong capability in data analysis, using tools such as Excel, Power BI or similar to generate insight
Ability to present data in a clear, structured management information (MI) format linked to CRM
Well organised, able to manage multiple priorities, reporting cycles and deadlines
