Line Cook I, II, or III (FT)

At Hotel Shattuck Plaza, memorable guest experiences include thoughtfully prepared food. Our culinary team prepares dishes for our restaurant and banquets with a focus on quality, presentation, and teamwork.

We are looking for a dedicated Line Cook I, II, or III to join our team. If you enjoy hands-on cooking and take pride in every plate, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

Prepare and present food according to the standards set by the Executive Chef, supporting restaurant and banquet service.

Food Preparation & Quality

• Prepare all line items for assigned stations, including sauté, wheel/window, broiler, and vegetable station.

• Follow the Executive Chef's standards for food preparation and presentation.

• Help meet and exceed guest expectations through consistent food quality and attentive teamwork.

Station Readiness & Inventory

• Maintain par stock levels for all items used on the line.

• Notify your supervisor daily of items that need to be requisitioned.

• Keep the line and walk-in organized, ensuring proper rotation of food products.

Kitchen Cleanliness & Food Safety

• Maintain a sanitary, organized workstation and complete cleaning assignments from the Chef.

• Clean the grill, line refrigerator, and broiler, and wipe down the line and shelves.

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the walk-in.

• Ensure all food products are properly labeled, dated, and stored at closing.

• Follow all hotel and Health Department requirements for food handling, storage, and sanitation.

Service & Teamwork

• Work closely with the culinary team to support smooth, timely service.

• Communicate preparation needs, stock shortages, and service concerns to your supervisor.

• Provide Legendary Service through teamwork and care for guests and fellow team members.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, keeps an organized station, and brings a team-focused approach to the kitchen.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of previous cooking experience.

• Culinary schooling preferred, or a combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
