This position Owns capital and equipment planning and disposal for Endeavor Health's in-house HTM program —building and maintaining the rolling five-year medical-equipment replacement plan across all hospitals, running the annual capital prioritization cycle, and leading pre-purchase planning for major equipment investments. Partners with Finance, Supply Chain, service-line leadership, and the CE analytics team to ensure equipment investments are data-driven and deliver clinical and financial value. Leads the Asset Investment Recovery (AIR) team, which recovers and dispositions the assets the replacement plan retires.

What you will do:

  • Build and maintain the rolling five-year medical-equipment capital replacement plan using asset age, condition, utilization, supportability, and total-cost-of-ownership data
  • Run the annual capital prioritization cycle — gather site and service-line requests, score and rank against enterprise criteria, and prepare funding recommendations for CE leadership and Finance
  • Lead the Asset Investment Recovery function through the Supervisor, AIR — set priorities, develop staff, manage performance, and perform full HR responsibilities for the team; ensure all retired assets are dispositioned compliantly, including verified purging of ePHI from all medical equipment
  • Partner with the Clinical Engineer, Data Analyst, and Financial Analyst on scoring criteria, forecasting models, and NPV/TCO analysis supporting capital decisions
  • Lead pre-purchase planning for major replacements — vendor quotes, trade-in and disposition strategy, installation and infrastructure requirements, and replacement timelines
  • Drive equipment standardization with service-line leaders and Supply Chain; maintain preferred-platform and sole-source strategies
  • Support medical-equipment planning and budgeting for construction, renovation, and merger/acquisition integration projects
  • Monitor plan execution — track approved capital through procurement, installation, and disposition of replaced assets; report variances and maintain capital-planning documentation and presentations for leadership committees

What you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience:
  • Required: 7+ years in HTM, healthcare capital planning, or medical-equipment lifecycle management; demonstrated experience building capital plans or business cases for medical-equipment investment, including experience leading staff or an operational function
  • Unique or Preferred Skills:
    • Knowledge: Medical-equipment lifecycle and total-cost-of-ownership concepts; medical-equipment disposition and data-sanitization requirements (ePHI purging); capital budgeting and prioritization processes in a health system; CMMS and asset data; proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Skills: Strong financial and analytical modeling; clear written and verbal communication with clinical, financial, and executive audiences; cross-functional project coordination.
    • Abilities: Able to translate asset and financial data into actionable multi-year plans; able to balance competing site priorities objectively; available for periodic travel to Endeavor sites; able to lead, develop, and hold accountable a small operational team
    • Technical:
      • Capital planning
      • CMMS/Asses Management platforms
      • Microsoft Office
