IT Security and Operations Manager

Job purpose

Responsible for managing, securing, and optimizing IMMY’s IT infrastructure (both cloud and on-prem) while ensuring the delivery of reliable, high-quality technical support across the company.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Manage all Microsoft infrastructure, including identity, access, licensing, security policies, and cloud services.
• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, networking, backups, and monitoring.
• Oversee IT security operations using Microsoft Defender, Arctic Wolf SOC, and other tools to detect and mitigate threats.
• Administer endpoint management, firewall configuration, system monitoring, and routine maintenance of core systems, including patching, upgrades, and vulnerability management
• Oversee hands-on support, including hardware and software troubleshooting, of onsite and remote end-users
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues; install and maintain hardware components.
• Conduct security, access, and DR assessments, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provide direction, support, and oversight to ensure the team delivers results in alignment with organizational goals (LMA). 
  • Lead: Translate the company vision into actionable strategies, inspire and motivate the team, and champion change.
  • Manage: Plan and organize work, delegate effectively, and maintain clear communication.
  • Accountability: Set expectations, monitor performance, and provide recognition and feedback.
• Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems or network administration, IT security, or IT support roles.
• Expertise in Microsoft 365 administration, and admin experience with Entra ID and Azure.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks
• Possess a mindset of continuous improvement
• Team Player

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Certifications such as Security+, CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft 365 Certified, or similar
• Experience with Arctic Wolf SOC or similar managed security services.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO, NIST, or similar).
