The list established by this recruitment will be used to fill current and future vacancies in the Sheriff's (adult population) and Probation (youth population) departments as they occur while the list remains active. Sheriff's Department positions are for day, evening and night shifts with an immediate need in the High Desert. The Probation department consist of variable shifts, which include days and evenings.
We are also accepting applications for Licensed Vocational Nurse I - Corrections, which requires a separate application. Applicants are encouraged to view the Licensed Vocational Nurse I - Corrections announcement and apply for both levels, as appropriate.

Summary of Benefits
Memoranda of Understanding (MOU)
| License | Must possess and maintain a current Licensed Vocational Nurse license with the State of California. |
| Experience | One (1) year of recent (within the last five (5) years) full-time experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. |
| Certification | Must produce and maintain a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at the time of hire |
| Note: License number and expiration date must be listed on the application to be eligible. |
