Position Overview:


Sr Director of Financial Reporting will be responsible for preparing global consolidation and external reporting as well as accounting conclusions and memos including but not limited to goodwill impairment, purchase price accounting, lease accounting and revenue recognition. It also encompasses preparing the full year-end financial statements with the corresponding notes. An area of focus will be management and direct oversight in revenue recognition policies and management of the accounting team ensuring our accounting data is accurate and that financial controls are in place to maintain that accuracy. Serve as the primary bank contact regarding credit management and bank reporting and develop relationships with ratings agencies, participating in (and ultimately leading) those conversations.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparation of the group’s consolidated financial statements on a monthly basis, with quarterly lender materials and an annual audited set of statements in conformance with US GAAP.
  • Responsible for several statutory financial statements in various countries complying to local GAAP, with a complex sub-consolidation in the UK following IFRS.
  • Update and ensure accounting policies and all memos on material areas of risk are reviewed and updated based on current pronouncements.
  • Oversee and lead a team of accounting members responsible for entity and regional level month end close task and analysis with a focus on data accuracy and speed to close.
  • Liaise with auditors in all jurisdictions and ensure annual audit is done in a timely manner.
  • Prepare models and work closely with accounting firm for goodwill impairment, equity valuation and any other complex accounting areas or transactions.
  • Oversee revenue recognition policy and compliance to 606 and IFRS 15.
  • Oversee IFRS 16 or ASC 842.
  • Assist FP&A and Controller with any forecasting of balance sheet, working capital or other metrics required.
  • Lead and prepare any divestiture or sale transactions (M&A).
  • Manage day to day operations of the team providing oversight and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Monitoring team performance and providing feedback, coaching and development.
  • Facilitate communication between team members, upper management and other departments.


Qualifications:

  • CPA, CA auditor.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience working in an organization preparing consolidation statements for a medium sized multi company and multi-currency company.
  • US GAAP and IFRS deep knowledge and ability to prepare and or approve accounting memo’s.
  • Advanced excel skills with ability to prepare basic modelling and financial templates.
  • Netsuite experience.
  • English, French language and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize time driven deliverables while managing a team.
  • Leadership skills to motivate, improve and transform team to best in class.
  • M&A experience an asset including sale or shares and or assets.

Le directeur principal du reportant financier sera chargé de préparer la consolidation mondiale et les rapports destinés aux parties externes, ainsi que les conclusions et notes comptables, notamment en ce qui concerne la dépréciation du goodwill, la comptabilisation du prix d'acquisition, la comptabilisation des contrats de location et la comptabilisation des produits. Le poste comprend également la préparation des états financiers de fin d'exercice ainsi que des notes correspondantes.  L'un des axes prioritaires sera la gestion et la supervision directe des politiques de comptabilisation des produits, ainsi que la gestion de l'équipe comptable, afin de garantir l'exactitude de nos données comptables et la mise en place de contrôles financiers permettant de maintenir cette exactitude. Il sera le principal interlocuteur des banques en matière de gestion du crédit et de reportant bancaire, et développera des relations avec les agences de notation, en participant (et, à terme, en dirigeant) ces discussions. 

Rôle et responsabilités

  • Responsable de la préparation des états financiers consolidés du groupe sur une base mensuelle, ainsi que des documents trimestriels destinés aux prêteurs et d’un ensemble d’états financiers annuels audités, conformément aux normes US GAAP.
  • Être responsable de plusieurs états financiers statutaires dans divers pays, conformes aux principes comptables généralement reconnus (GAAP) locaux, avec une sous-consolidation complexe au Royaume-Uni selon les normes IFRS.
  • Mettre à jour et veiller à ce que les méthodes comptables et toutes les notes de service sur les domaines de risque importants soient revues et mises à jour en fonction des normes en vigueur.
  • Superviser et diriger une équipe de comptables chargée des tâches et de l'analyse de clôture de fin de mois au niveau de l'entité et de la région, en mettant l'accent sur l'exactitude des données et la rapidité de clôture.
  • Assurer la liaison avec les auditeurs dans toutes les juridictions et veiller à ce que l'audit annuel soit réalisé dans les délais.
  • Préparer des modèles et travailler en étroite collaboration avec le cabinet d'audit pour la dépréciation du goodwill, l'évaluation des capitaux propres et tout autre domaine comptable ou transaction complexe.
  • Superviser la politique de comptabilisation des produits et la conformité aux normes 606 et IFRS 15.
  • Superviser la mise en œuvre de la norme IFRS 16 ou ASC 842.
  • Assister le service FP&A et le contrôleur de gestion dans toute prévision relative au bilan, au fonds de roulement ou à d’autres indicateurs requis.
  • Diriger et préparer toute opération de cession ou de vente (fusions-acquisitions).
  • Gérer les opérations quotidiennes de l’équipe en assurant la supervision et en veillant au respect des politiques et procédures de l’entreprise.
  • Suivre les performances de l’équipe et fournir des retours d’information, un accompagnement et des conseils de développement.  
  • Faciliter la communication entre les membres de l'équipe, la direction et les autres services. 

Qualifications : 

  • Expert-comptable (CPA, CA). 
  • Au moins 7 ans d'expérience au sein d'une organisation préparant des états consolidés pour une entreprise de taille moyenne, multi-sociétés et multidevises.
  • Connaissance approfondie des normes US GAAP et IFRS et capacité à préparer et/ou approuver des notes comptables.
  • Maîtrise avancée d’Excel avec capacité à créer des modèles de base et des gabarits financiers.
  • Expérience de Netsuite. 
  • Maîtrise de l’anglais et du français et excellentes compétences en communication.
  • Capacité à travailler de manière autonome, à hiérarchiser les livrables soumis à des délais tout en gérant une équipe.
  • Compétences en leadership pour motiver, améliorer et transformer l’équipe afin qu’elle devienne la meilleure de sa catégorie.
  • Une expérience en fusions-acquisitions (M&A) est un atout, notamment en matière de vente d’actions et/ou d’actifs.
