We are a collaborative group of scientists and technical experts working at the intersection of biology and data. As a Data Intern, you will work on real project tasks and contribute to data-driven problem solving that supports Novonesis’ purpose of using biology to drive positive change.
The Role & Your Impact
- Supporting the establishment of standardized data templates for culture collection
- Developing data contracts and designing data flows
- Performing data visualization, analysis, and scripting tasks
- Designing structured data pipelines for specific projects
- Conducting in-depth data analysis to support scientific insights
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
- Educational background in Data Science, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related fields
- Strong programming and scripting skills (e.g., Python, C#)
- Ability to support automation tasks and data integration
- Understanding of scientific data systems and experimental data structures
- Familiarity with laboratory data platforms such as Benchling or similar
- Basic understanding of biotechnology or lab work (preferred)
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Attention to data quality and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Additional Skills & Interests We Value
- Experience with PI system architecture or similar data infrastructure
- Interest in applying data science to biological or scientific domains
- Curiosity for learning new tools, systems, and technologies
