RegularThe Fork Truck Operator is responsible for supporting Receiving and Distribution operations by ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and tracking of products. This role ensures a steady supply of materials to production while maintaining accurate inventory records and adhering to safety and quality standards.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Retrieve cheese from coolers and deliver to prep and process rooms to ensure continuous production flow.
Open forms and prepare materials for production use.
Receive incoming product and verify against packing slips (quantity, type, and quality).
Post product receipts into SAP accurately and in a timely manner.
Replenish product in coolers and maintain warehouse organization.
Assemble customer orders and prepare them for shipment.
Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.
Maintain all warehouse locations and inventory records.
Participate in all scheduled inventory counts (mandatory attendance).
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and OHSA guidelines.
Operate material handling equipment safely (including forklifts, once trained/certified).
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Work performed in cooler environments for varying lengths of time
Occasional longer hours or weekend work required based on customer needs
Mandatory availability for weekend inventory counts
Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices
Safety Protocol
Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures
Correct or report any observed safety hazards
Support safety policies and programs

Qualifications:
Education Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
Experience Required:
Experience working in a distribution or warehouse environment preferred.
Experience using RF scanning equipment is considered an asset.
Certification/Licensure Required:
Forklift certification an asset (forklift certification will be provided; must successfully complete required training and testing).
Skills Required:
Strong communication skills.
Good attendance and reliability.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Ability to operate or learn manual material handling equipment.
High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Ability to work in cooler environments for extended periods.
Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Knowledge of cheese products and quality requirements is considered an asset.

- Schedule Monday to Friday 2h20 PM to 10h30 PM. Occasional weekend work may be required for overtime, vacation coverage, inventory counts, or special operational needs.

Your role in achieving results:
- Provide the prep room with a constant supply of cheese to ensure steady operation throughout the shift.
- Duties include but is not limited to replenishing product in the cooler, assembling orders for customers,
- Maintaining all Warehouse locations.
- Attendance at all inventory counts is mandatory.
- Follow the Standard Operating Procedures
- Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices
- Follow guidelines established by Agropur and the O.H.S.A. to ensure safe operation of the machinery.
- Applicants must be able to work in the coolers for varying lengths of time.
- The successful applicant must be reliable.
- Ability to complete all documents accurately and completely in a timely manner.
- Any other warehousing duties as assigned.
- Completion of inventory records

What we are looking for to deliver these results:
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 to 5 years experience on stand up and/or sitdown forklift
- Comfortable working in a cooler environment (temperatures around 2–4°C)
- Strong communication skills
- Good attendance
- Experience working in a distribution environment and using RF scanning equipment would be an asset.
- The use of manual material handling equipment would be beneficial. The successful applicant will receive forklift training (if they are not already certified) and must write and pass a written test.
- Longer hours or weekend work will be necessary from time to time to meet customer requirements.
- Must be available for all weekend inventory counts.
- Demonstrate a desire for continuous improvement in all processes.
- Must be self-starters and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of cheese and cheese products, comprehension of product quality requirements and adherence to company policies and procedures.
