About the Company

Our client is a well-established, values-driven heavy equipment dealer serving the Southeastern United States through a multi-branch network. Representing a leading global equipment manufacturer, the organization is committed to delivering exceptional customer support while building lasting relationships with employees, customers, and the communities it serves.

The company operates with a people-first mindset grounded in five core values: Safety, Integrity, Accountability, Communication, and Collaboration. It offers an opportunity for an experienced executive to shape operations, develop future leaders, and drive continued business performance across a substantial regional footprint.

About the Position

Our client is seeking a Vice President of Product Support to lead its parts, service, technical training, and product support sales organizations across a multi-branch territory. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this executive will serve on the senior leadership team and oversee approximately two-thirds of the company's workforce.

The Vice President will be responsible for improving operational performance, growing parts and service revenue, managing expenses, strengthening customer relationships, and developing a high-performing workforce. This leader will play a critical role in advancing the company's safety culture, operational consistency, and long-term growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executive Leadership & Safety: Champion a company-wide safety culture, establish clear expectations, and ensure consistent accountability across all locations.
  • Parts & Inventory Management: Oversee inventory planning, purchasing, logistics, distribution, and parts availability across the branch network and represented product lines.
  • Service Operations: Lead regional and branch service teams responsible for field service, shop repairs, and preventive maintenance while driving service efficiency and performance.
  • Sales & Customer Support: Develop parts and service sales strategies that help customers reduce equipment ownership and operating costs while improving profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Mining, Quarry & Aggregates: Strengthen product support capabilities within these key markets, helping customers improve productivity and reduce their cost per ton.
  • Technical Services & Training: Oversee technical support resources, troubleshooting assistance, and technician development programs that improve workforce competency and service quality.
  • Performance & Continuous Improvement: Use KPIs, financial analysis, and operational data to improve productivity, control expenses, increase profitability, and drive measurable results.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with machine sales, rental, marketing, IT, corporate services, and talent development to align product support with broader business objectives.
  • Talent Development: Recruit, coach, and develop leaders throughout the parts and service organizations, building accountability, engagement, and opportunities for career advancement.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive team and OEM partners to establish priorities, implement operational improvements, and support long-term business growth.

Requirements

  • 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in parts, service, and product support operations.
  • Experience with a major equipment OEM or competitive equipment dealership preferred.
  • Demonstrated success implementing Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • A proven track record of delivering sustained, measurable improvements in operational performance and financial results.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including experience using data and performance metrics to guide business decisions.
  • Experience supporting customers across multiple industries and business sizes, with a focus on improving productivity, equipment performance, and operating costs.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence, develop, and align teams across a multi-location organization.
  • A people-first leadership approach that builds trust, promotes accountability, and earns employee commitment.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives while maintaining a strong focus on customer experience, profitability, and employee development.
  • Willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory, with occasional out-of-state travel for training and meetings.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $285,000-$300,000
  • Annual performance-based bonus
  • Company vehicle
  • Executive leadership opportunity with significant organizational influence
  • Opportunity to shape product support strategy and performance across a multi-branch dealership
  • Values-driven, people-focused work environment
