Description
Building the future of medical logistics at Maple Aviation
Maple Aviation is an aerospace startup based in Ottobrunn, developing a unique tail-sitter drone that flies with one propeller and is controlled via a flap-thrust-vectoring system for autonomous operation in time-critical medical logistics. The small team builds aircraft designed to carry blood products, lab samples, and medication between hospitals and laboratories. As the VP / Head of Assembly and Supply Chain, you will lead the scaling of production operations and supply chain strategies to support the deployment of these critical aircraft.
Your responsibilities
Lead and manage the assembly and supply chain operations on-site in Ottobrunn.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for aerospace components and manufacturing materials.
Oversee quality control standards and production workflows for drone assembly.
Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize design for manufacturing and streamline assembly processes.
Manage vendor relationships, supplier negotiations, and logistics to ensure timely delivery of parts.
What we are looking for
Proven leadership experience in managing assembly operations and supply chains, ideally within the aerospace or high-tech manufacturing sector.
Strong background in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and quality assurance processes.
Hands-on approach to problem-solving within a fast-paced startup environment.
Excellent communication and team management skills.
Highly self-motivated, structured, pragmatic, and comfortable with ambiguity
We are an international team communicating in English; German language skills are an advantage
Your first months at Maple Aviation
In your first months, you will evaluate existing assembly workflows, establish key supplier partnerships, and align production schedules with our upcoming deployment milestones. You will take ownership of the manufacturing pipeline, ensuring every aircraft is built to exact standards. If you match most of these requirements and are ready to shape the future of medical logistics, we encourage you to apply.
Benefits
You can use the sport membership and benefit from flexible working hours for your routine. Additional vacation days and 24 vacation days per year provide time to recharge. Mentoring sessions and the internal mobility program support your professional growth, while the cafeteria, free beverages, and free snacks keep you fueled on-site. You will receive a company laptop, have access to free parking, wear a casual dress code, and join regular team events and social activities.
