Job Description

The Workday HRIS Integrations Specialist is a member of the HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) team under Human Resources. The primary responsibility of this role is to design and develop HCM integrations, primarily Workday and other applicable platforms, for HCM systems that support HR processes and functions for HR, Benefits, Compensation, Performance, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Payroll, and Time & Absence.  You will partner with COE’s and business leaders from HR, Finance, IT, and others to ensure operational efficiency and to drive new solutions that support business goals and objectives. 

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Be the subject matter expert for all Workday integrations.
  • Manage day-to-day integration activities ensuring data accuracy, security, and business continuity.
  • Research, design, development, testing, and delivery of all Workday integrations.
  • Design and develop all Workday integration solutions.
  • Build and maintain integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and other Workday integration tools.
  • Regularly monitor integration processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data is transferred accurately and on time.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements, design, develop and implement integrations.
  • Create detailed integration specifications, field mappings, and designs to support the entire integration deployment life cycle.
  • Create detailed technical documentation for all integrations and perform unit and system testing before deploying to production environments.
  • Develop and enforce standardized procedures for Integration development to align with security and compliance requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring change control for migrations.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize current integrations for better performance, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Understand and ensure the accuracy and consistency of data flowing between Workday all other systems.
  • Create and execute strategies for Workday releases to ensure a seamless transition for integrations, including regression testing of integrations and release of new functionality and tools.
  • Manage the intake process for all integration development and support requests, including timelines and deliverables.
  • Manage, design, and support the technical infrastructure for enterprise-wide HCM integration solutions, working with IT and external vendors.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, new ideas and technologies that will optimize business results.
  • Provide mentorship to HRIS team on integrations.

WHAT WE VALUE

  • Extensive experience with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Web Services APIs.
  • Strong proficiency in XML, XSLT, XPATH, SOAP, REST, and JSON technologies.
  • Experience with creating complex Custom Reports, Calculated Fields, and BIRT reports.
  • Deep understanding of Workday HCM, security configurations, and Workday's business process framework.
  • Significant experience with designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining solutions for complex integrations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail, with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently when necessary.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Strong focus on client satisfaction and meeting project deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple integrations simultaneously.

WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

  • 5+ years of experience in Workday integration development, including hands-on expertise in Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Web Services (SOAP/REST), and Workday APIs.
  • 5+ years’ experience with Workday HCM.
  • UKG Pro WFM experience a plus.
  • Experience with other integration platforms such as UKG Pro (Dell Boomi) a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Finance or IT.
