This position will be responsible for day-to-day fund level treasury management and monitoring for the firm’s fund vehicles and their subsidiaries. Additionally, he/she will be developing efficiencies and identifying opportunities for improvement in the existing treasury management process. We are seeking a skilled and experienced candidate to join our growing team who should be an independent problem solver who has a proven ability to work collaboratively with groups across an organization to direct appropriate information flow to effectively manage treasury needs. We are seeking a candidate who has experience working with treasury for investment fund vehicles, including familiarly with subscription lines and securitized debt facilities.
Hybrid - 3-4 days in our Chicago office
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Directly manage the day-to-day cash needs of the firm’s fund vehicles to ensure the firm is efficient with client monies while ensuring funding is available timely to fund new investments and fund ongoing operations
- Manage or oversee junior staff regarding treasury communications with the Deal Teams, Fund Finance, Fund Compliance, Allocations, Accounting and various other teams and develop strong relationships which improve transparency and ensure successful communication of treasury needs
- Work closely with the various team with respect to Treasury’s role in supporting and managing the multiple funding sources for our fund vehicles including bank credit facilities, securitizations and investor capital
- Close and book new fund debt facilities within Wall Street Office (“WSO”) and update WSO for amendments and restructures to existing facilities. Review relevant draft legal documents and provide value added operational comments
- Review and/or prepare borrowing and paydown requests for fund debt facilities as outlined in each facility document and provide timely communication of these requests to the agents on the debt facilities
- Maintain WSO for all debt facility transactions, reconcile outstanding positions and interest with the debt facility agents and coordinate the payment of principal and interest on the facilities
- Manage foreign currency hedging transactions and reconcile transactions and outstanding forward contracts with hedge counterparties
- Coordinate with new account openings with custodian banks
- Communicate treasury activities effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding cash and debt balances, interest, fees and expenses and respond to ad-hoc requests and audit inquiries
- Review and understand the changing needs of the business and implications of future growth and proactively identify and effect the changes this will require on Treasury with respect to people, process and technology
- Special projects upon request
Supervisory Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with review of teams work product to provide value-added controls over the operations process
- Review of existing processes and procedures to develop improvement in workflows and team efficiency
- Documentation of process and procedures and assistance with annual control audits
- Training and development of loan operations staff
- Assist with data integrity and management
- Project management
- Develop strong relationships with the various teams
Requirements
- 5+ years of treasury experience, including fund specific treasury management
- Experience managing multiple banking relationships and familiarity with subscription lines and securitized debt facilities
- Ability to multi-task, balancing many responsibilities simultaneously
- Ability to interface with numerous constituents at various levels
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently and conscientiously
- Strong work ethic – work with a high sense of urgency – detailed oriented
- Works well in a team environment
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office products
- Familiarity with the Wall Street Office loan system and proficiency in processing a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred

Compensation
It is expected that the base salary range for this position will be $85,000-150,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications for the role. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation, sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an ‘at-will position’ and the Firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance, Firm or individual department / team performance and market factors.
