ROLE SUMMARY

The Director, Op Model, Risk and Strategy Lead reports directly to the Senior Director, PGS Data Governance Lead within PGS Data, Analytics & AI Transformation. This leadership role holds accountability for the operating model, control framework, and effectiveness measurement that govern data across all of PGS’s data domains. The role is accountable for all data governance policies and procedures, for compliance, security, and risk-based access to governed data, and for the KPIs and effectiveness reporting that demonstrate governance health and value across the organization.

The leader owns the maturity and continuous improvement of the data governance operating model end-to-end, ensuring governance processes, standards, and ways of working evolve with business needs and enterprise data priorities. The role defines, maintains, and governs all data governance policies and procedures, and owns compliance, security, and risk-based access to governed data, serving as the escalation point for governance policy exceptions and risk-based access requests. The leader also owns the data governance requirements and accountability framework for responsible AI and RAMP initiatives, ensuring governance, risk, and data trust requirements are embedded in how PGS develops and deploys AI solutions.

The role owns the mapping of new domain onboarding priorities and actions, defining the criteria, readiness assessments, and playbooks that guide expansion of governance based on business value, risk, and readiness. The leader also owns governance KPIs and effectiveness reporting across all data domains, designing and operating the metrics, dashboards, and reporting cadence that give stakeholders and leadership transparent, decision-ready insight into the health, maturity, adoption, and value of data governance across PGS.

By owning a mature operating model, a robust policy and control framework, and clear measurement of governance effectiveness across every governed domain, this leader enables trusted, compliant, and secure use of data across PGS and positions the organization to scale data governance, analytics, and AI-driven decision-making with confidence.
