Metsä Tissue is currently looking for a
MANAGER, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
based in Espoo to become part of our Business Development team in a fixed-term position until 30 September 2027.
What is the job that awaits you?
As Manager, Business Development, you will support Metsä Tissue’s strategic development and strategy execution. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business and contribute to the planning and implementation of strategic projects and business development initiatives and activities.
The role combines strategic development, business intelligence, market insight generation and project portfolio support. You will help ensure that decision-making is supported by relevant analysis and that key development initiatives move forward effectively across the organisation.
In this role, you will:
support Metsä Tissue’s strategic development and strategy execution through development projects and initiatives, including key strategic investments and M&A
manage or contribute to strategic and other business development projects across the organisation
support the management of Metsä Tissue’s overall development project portfolio and help ensure alignment between priorities, resources and business targets
manage and coordinate the business intelligence process and reporting in Metsä Tissue in cooperation with Metsä Group Business Intelligence
develop BI systems and reporting practices for the management team and other key user groups, ensuring that insights are shared and utilised across the organisation
provide analysis and insights on markets, industry developments, future trends, competitors and customers to support decision-making, strategic projects, planning and implementation
deliver regular market and competitor analyses and further develop market intelligence services and deliverables for key user groups
support the development and deployment of change management practices and their adoption at Metsä Tissue in cooperation with key stakeholders
What are we expecting of you?
We are looking for a business development professional who combines strategic thinking with practical execution. You are comfortable working in a matrix organisation, managing multiple topics in parallel and collaborating with stakeholders across functions and organisational levels. You know how to turn data and insight into clear conclusions and actionable recommendations, and you communicate effectively in both management discussions and cross-functional cooperation.
To succeed in the role, you bring:
a master’s degree in business, technology or a closely related field
2+ years of relevant working experience (in a similar role)
experience in strategic development and market research, both qualitative and quantitative
experience in an international consulting company and/or in corporate business development is considered an advantage
strong business understanding and strategic development capability
solid project management skills and the ability to work effectively in a matrix organisation
strong communication, cooperation and change management skills
good presentation and problem-solving skills
good command of MS Office and fundamentals of Power BI
competence in using web-based and online tools effectively
fluent written and spoken English, while other relevant language skills are considered an asset
