Mill Technician - 1st Shift 6am to 2:30pm - $23.19/hr

This is a key entry level position within our manufacturing facility which produces quality food products for our customers. *Additional $1.50 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 6PM-6AM. *Must be flexible for overtime and weekend work.

•                Operate equipment as necessary to accomplish tasks and meet targets.

•                Continuously supervise the mill operations throughout a shift.

•                Plan, direct and execute daily shift milling duties for the shift crew to perform to meet business needs..

•                Check break roll extractions daily. Analyze results and make necessary adjustments.

•                Observe operation of rolls and continuously assure stocks are properly distributed and that roll gaps and brushes are set to maximize grinding efficiency and yields.

•                Will be responsible for inspecting and adjusting purifiers, sifters and other mill related equipment

•                Proactive in identifying problems and resolves them and/or takes steps to alert their supervisor.

•                Follows company processes and procedures in the operation of the equipment.

•                Cleans the equipment and general work areas including assigned floor.

•                Must work safely while operating the machinery and working in the production areas.

•                Must follow Quality processes and procedures.

•                Must fill out required documents timely, accurately and honestly.

•                Coordinates the work with other departments as needed.

•                Must be willing to work overtime and must have flexible hours.

•                Must be willing to work weekends and on Holidays as needed.

•                Input and track production, safety, and quality data in Production Reporting System (Redzone). • Detailed cleaning and sanitation of plant equipment.

•                Ensuring daily adherence to the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) Regulations • Ensure the integrity and sustained certification of the food safety and food quality system.

•                • Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality issues from occurring.

•                Evaluating hazards, verification of measures and procedures that should be taken to achieve a safe work environment • Works in a safe manner and promptly reports hazards identified in the work environment.
