Description
Position Overview
As a Lead Technician, you will act as a technical lead and provide comprehensive expertise in IT support and management. You will handle the most complex technical problems, perform advanced troubleshooting, and document support activities. Your role will also involve setting up and configuring new equipment, maintaining inventory records, and continuously improving your technical skills and knowledge. Additionally, you will lead major projects, develop support strategies, oversee the performance of the support team, and provide mentorship to Specialist III and IT Service Support Technicians I, II, and IIIA Day in the Life
Act as a technical lead and provide comprehensive expertise in IT support and management (40%)
Handle and resolve the most complex technical problems, escalating critical issues to management or external support if necessary (25%)
Set up and configure new equipment (20%)
Maintain inventory records and document support activities (10%)
Continuously improve technical skills and knowledge (5%)
You'll Come With
8+ years of experience in IT support or a related field
Expert knowledge of hardware, software, and network troubleshooting; ability to handle the most complex technical issues; strong strategic planning and team leadership skills.
Certifications (Preferred): ITIL.
