To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable individual to join our team as an Accounts Payable Specialist I. The primary responsibility of the position is to accurately process Accounts Payable transactions. The successful candidate will have basic computer, accounting, and data entry knowledge. This position will report to the Accounts Payable Supervisor.
Essential Duties:
Process invoices and other Accounts Payable transactions accurately
Reconcile vendor statements, inventory, and related records
Research discrepancies, explain variances, and report findings
Communicate with vendors, stations, management, and other stakeholders
Maintain documentation, verify payments, process communications, and complete assigned projects
Job Qualifications and Competencies:
Basic computer, accounting, and data entry knowledge
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
Organized, detail-oriented, and strong in verbal and written communication
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and Adobe Acrobat
Strong mathematical skills
Associate degree in Accounting, Mathematics, a related field, or two (2) years of work experience in an accounting role
Work Environment:
Standard office environment, use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment
Physical Requirements:
Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds

Starting Rate:
