Job Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting with the overall supervision of the logistics department to ensure that all operational goals are met, as well as the day to day movement, storage and distribution of fresh cut products for consumers. Assist with the supervision of staff for the assigned work unit to ensure proper flow of product from raw receiving to finished good distribution.
Job Essential Functions:
- Support Logistics Supervisor with process improvement activities with both formal and informal teams.
- Manage, train and develop hourly employees on Department and Company policies such as GMPs, proper Shipping, Receiving, Inventory procedures and filling out required documentation correctly. Develops hourly employees to take ownership of key measures such as yields, labor, people, and quality.
- Ensure employees take their scheduled breaks/lunches and finish their shift on time.
- Support logistics, manufacturing or operational programs that achieve cost and quality requirements of the company.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory expectations such as OSHA, EPA, FDA, etc.
- Assist with maintaining a safe work environment through training personnel on safety issues, conducting safety huddles, completing safety accident and/or incident reports, and recognizing and correcting unsafe conditions or acts.
- Responsible for assisting with the interviewing of potential warehouse associates in terms of experience and aptitude with operation's required power equipment.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relations with Company personnel and with management team.
- Keep management informed of any significant employee issues and/or concerns.
- Preforms all other duties as assigned by the Logistics Supervisor and/or Manager.
Required Qualifications/Skills
Experience Required:
- At least 3 years of related experience
- Prior leadership experience in a comparable environment
Education/Training:
- Associates degree and related experience

- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Well organized and the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite- Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams

- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Physical Working Environment:
- Work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment. At times, may be required to enter the plant, which is 34-36°
- Will use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office devices during a normal workday.
- Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
- Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for working in an office environment including typing.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn.
