Position Overview

The Automation Engineering Intern will support automation and engineering activities under the guidance of an Automation Engineer. This role provides hands-on experience with industrial automation, digitalization, and process improvement projects in a manufacturing environment. The intern will contribute to equipment performance, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives while developing technical skills.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming and troubleshooting.

• Assist with automation system modifications and testing.

• Contribute to data acquisition and Industry 4.0 initiatives.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and drawings.

• Support continuous improvement and process optimization projects.

• Assist with equipment commissioning, validation, and startup activities.

• Participate in energy efficiency and maintenance optimization initiatives.

• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to improve reliability and safety.

Minimum Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or technical qualification in Automation Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field.

• Exposure to industrial automation or manufacturing processes through coursework, projects, or internships.

• Basic project coordination and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to analyze technical data.

• Good written and spoken English skills.

Preferred Requirements

• Knowledge of Siemens PLCs, TIA Portal, or SCADA systems.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD or electrical drawings.

• Understanding of CMMS, process optimization, or Industry 4.0 concepts.

• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
