Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communication, and response to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel.
• Assist with visitor management, wayfinding, and access-related inquiries while maintaining a professional presence in patient-care and public areas.
• Complete required reports, activity logs, and incident documentation accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
