Job Description

As a Part Time Unarmed Medical Facility Security Officer in the Center City neighborhood of Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients at a medical center's campus. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to alarms, and provide courteous assistance to patient, staff, and visitors. Pay Rate: $19.06 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information to supervisors and designated campus contacts.
• Maintain a professional presence at assigned locations and assist with access control, visitor inquiries, directions, and other campus-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• This is primarily a driving post.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
