We are seeking an experienced HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) Specialist to support the implementation of a new Beads process project, including warehouse expansion and utilities works, ensuring safe operations, regulatory compliance, and effective environmental management throughout the construction phase.
Job Description
• Deliver HSE training, site inductions and briefings for employees, visitors and contractors while maintaining accurate training records and verifying knowledge
• Review, comment on and approve HSE documentation prepared by contractors and subcontractors prior to work commencement
• Develop and update procedures, instructions, safety standards, communications and Toolbox Talk materials to support safe work organization
• Maintain and update HSE registers including training, qualifications, working hours, personnel, equipment and environmental documentation
• Verify personnel qualifications, competencies and documentation for machinery, equipment, tools and site assets
• Identify hazards, assess risks and propose mitigation measures for safety, property protection and environmental impact
• Identify and register high risk activities and provide HSE support during preparation and execution
• Verify site work conditions including access, housekeeping, signage, traffic routes and environmental compliance
• Participate in the preparation, issuing, checking and closing of work permits under the Permit to Work system
• Verify that work execution complies with HSE, environmental, legal and project requirements and Blue Projects standards
• Ensure availability and correct use of personal and collective protective equipment on site
• Document incidents, near misses, observations and environmental events while maintaining relevant registers
• Participate in incident analysis, root cause identification and monitoring of corrective and preventive actions, including reporting
• Provide HSE technical and legal advice while coordinating with project stakeholders and authorities
• Promote safety culture and environmental responsibility aligned with the Zero Accidents policy through communications and initiatives
Qualifications
• Availability to travel and relocate within Europe and Poland as required
• Proven experience as an HSE Specialist in construction or industrial projects
• Extensive knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to promote a strong safety culture
• Strong risk assessment capabilities and ability to implement effective safety measures
• NEBOSH or equivalent HSE certification is highly desirable
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or a related field is preferred
