Description
Key Responsibilities
- To ensure that all contractors have the appropriate equipment, materials, training and competencies to perform allocated work.
- To demonstrate good time management and flexibility to allow the execution of your roles and responsibilities.
- To perform fluidity tasks prestart checks to ensure work can be executed on time and without issue.
- To liaise with customers, clients, local authorities and third party regarding past, present or future works.
- Order the required fittings, pipes and materials for the works.
- To provide sufficient and timely supervision, assessment and coaching to ensure teams are performing to agreed production levels and expected safety/water hygiene standards.
- To perform quality checks in line with contract specific requirements, to include but not limited to reviewing pre-construction information, designs, carrying out the required inspections/on-site checks.
- To regularly undertake all necessary and appropriate Toolbox Talks, Briefings and other communications in the expected time frame.
- To ensure weekly checks are completed.
- To maintain own levels of skill and knowledge to do the job effectively.
- To comply with the relevant Company policies and procedures, including HSEQ and welfare provisions.
- Ensure all agreed client and internal KPI’s are met or exceeded.
- To ensure gang productivity targets are met
- To ensure all Operatives trained and competent to carry out the works.
- To ensure project updates from site are accurate and in real-time, including any required EW/CE.
- Ensure all Sites have an up-to-date H&S folder, including, a CPP, Utility Plans, F10 and DRA and signed Handover form.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring that work is performed according to the scope of works and that any issues are promptly addressed to avoid cost of failure.
- Proactively identify potential risks related to safety, environmental impact, and project delays.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks, ensuring continuity and safety in operations.
- Conduct Accident / Incident Investigations within the required time scales, supported by HSEQ Department.
- Prepare and execute contingency plans in case of emergencies, such as water main breaks, leaks, or other unforeseen incidents.
- Coordinate quick and effective responses to minimise service disruptions and environmental damage.
- Attending contractual meetings for example, touch point meetings and planning meetings.
Experience and Qualifications
- Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively, particularly to external parties such as the client, customers, local authorities and third party.
- Must have the skills and confidence to supervise and coordinate site requirements and tasks.
- Understanding of contract commercial mechanism.
- Must have skills, experience and natural ability to coach, manage and lead people
