Corporate Development Analyst

Department: Corporate/Administrative

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Denver, CO

Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000 / year

Description

We are hiring a Corporate Development Analyst to join the execution side of one of the most active M&A teams in infrastructure consulting. The Analyst will work alongside senior deal leaders across the full transaction lifecycle, from initial evaluation through diligence, closing, and integration.

This is a hands-on development role for someone who has built a strong technical foundation and wants broader exposure, closer access to decision-makers, and a clear path to greater deal ownership. You will work directly with a Corporate Development Vice President, receive active mentorship from experienced investors and operators, and gain exposure to Trilon's executive team, regional leaders, and the presidents of its partner firms.

WHAT TO EXPECT
This role is based in Trilon's Downtown Denver office and requires regular in-office presence. You will begin by working closely with a Vice President on analysis, modeling, diligence, and transaction support while gaining a seat alongside the team throughout the deal process. As your judgment and capabilities grow, you will own larger workstreams and interact more directly with advisors, sellers, and business leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support transaction execution from initial evaluation through diligence, negotiation, closing, and integration.
  • Build and maintain financial models, valuation analyses, and other materials used to assess investment opportunities.
  • Analyze financial, employee, client, project, and operational data to identify performance drivers, risks, and areas for further diligence.
  • Develop investment theses and draft clear recommendations and materials for Trilon's Investment Committee and senior leadership.
  • Coordinate due diligence workstreams and collaborate with legal, accounting, tax, and other third-party advisors.
  • Prepare presentations and discussion materials for meetings with potential partner firms and internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Corporate Development Vice Presidents and other senior leaders on active deals and strategic projects.
  • Take on increasing ownership over time, including managing service providers, leading defined workstreams, and supporting relationships with sellers.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Experience with financial statement analysis, financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, or M&A transaction execution.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills required
  • Strong and demonstrated quantitative and qualitative analytical skills required
  • Sound strategic and critical thinking skills required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of finance and M&A transaction concepts

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
  • Enthusiastic, personable, positive attitude, and high integrity
  • Persistent, proactive, self-motivated with the ability to work under limited supervision
  • Attention to detail and organized
  • Ability to learn quickly and can grasp complicated financial and business concepts
  • Ability to multi-task and be flexible in role
  • Strong interest in private equity, M&A, business and finance
