Customer Care Center Engineer (Intern)

Overview

 

The Application and System position within the service organization is an ambassador of Bruker Nano Surfaces and Metrology “BNSM” instrumentation and technology.  Bruker Nano Surfaces and Metrology manufactures the world's leading Atomic Forces Microscopes, Stylus and 3D profilers, Mechanical Testers, X-Ray Diffractometer and Mask Repair instrumentation.  This technical role is responsible for customer direct post-sale instrumentation and application support including installation, user and application training, instrument diagnostics/fix, and post-sale applications support.  Individual must be customer focused with a strong technical background enabling our customers to maintain their instrument at peak performance and maximize productivity for their intended use case.

 

Responsibilities

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

This internship role focuses on equipment spare parts inspection, testing, maintenance and sorting management. The intern will assist the technical team in  spare parts quality verification, fault checking, simple repair work and data recording.

Complete routine visual inspection and functional testing of mechanical and electrical spare parts, check for damage, wear, deformation and functional abnormality, and judge whether the spare parts are qualified.

Assist technicians in completing maintenance, cleaning, assembly and repair of defective spare parts, restore basic functions of reusable spare parts, and classify scrapped parts.

Accurately record spare part testing results, maintenance content, fault phenomena and processing results, sort out electronic and paper archives, and update spare part status in a timely manner.

Sort, count and label tested spare parts, classify qualified spare parts, pending repair parts and scrap parts, and assist in standardized spare parts storage management.

Cooperate with the technical team to complete daily equipment auxiliary inspection, assist in sorting spare parts inventory, and complete other temporary technical arrangement tasks.

Qualifications

 

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:     Able to work in Bruker Beijing Customer Care Center

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Customer focused, passionate about science and technology, and passionate to enable customers with Bruker technology.

Excellentunderstanding of mechanical and electrical equipment structure, able to understand simple equipment spare part structure and assembly logic.

Good skills in electronics, mechanics, control systems, computers, networking, and common tooling such as oscilloscope, multi-meter, etc.

Good learning ability, able to follow technicians to quickly master testing and repair standards.

Demonstrated ability to provide clear, logical, and effective communication.

Careful, responsible and rigorous at work, able to complete repetitive testing and recording work patiently.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s or bachelor’s degree in scientific or engineering field from accredited university or college.
