As the Finance Manager for the Richmond Plant, you will provide leadership and oversight across financial planning, controls, and operational reporting. You will play a critical role in driving financial performance, ensuring compliance, and partnering with plant leadership to achieve business targets. In the Controller's absence, you will assume full responsibility for the plant's finance function.

 

How You Will Contribute

• Partner with the Plant Controller to provide strategic financial guidance to plant leadership, translating insights into actionable recommendations that support net productivity and capital expenditure targets.
• Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Own the monthly process for manufacturing financials, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and continuous cycle-time improvement.
• Manage the plant's risk and opportunity profile, driving forecast accuracy to control spending and achieve financial results.
• Co-pilot for cost and budget ownership across the plant, ensuring proper governance, training, and accountability around cost centers.
• Drive the OT review process, including partnering with Scheduling/Planning to ensure accurate staffing targets exist in support of weekly/monthly volume and attainment targets.
• Monitor site and cluster KPIs — waste, overtime, fixed costs, overheads — and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
• Support the Engineering team with appropriation requests and post-investment evaluations as well as ensuring SAP spare part and fixed asset inventories are accurate.
• Supervise and develop the plant finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
• Maintain a strong internal controls environment to ensure accuracy of financial data and compliance with corporate policies.

 

 

What You Will Bring

• TECHNICAL EXPERTISE in financial planning, manufacturing cost accounting, and internal controls — including analyzing and reporting financial performance across all KPIs and supporting investment decisions and cost management.
• BUSINESS ACUMEN and understanding of CPG/manufacturing dynamics. Relevant experience in a large regional or global corporation.
• LEADERSHIP SKILLS including business partnering, team management, and the ability to influence and communicate across functions and levels.
• GROWTH/DIGITAL MINDSET with the ability to leverage technology and ERP systems to improve efficiency.
• INTEGRITY and sound judgement aligned with company values and external regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, with significant time in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior supervisory or team leadership experience required.
• Strong expertise in manufacturing cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Experience with SAP ERP system; S/4HANA experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders

Salary and Benefits: The base salary range for this position is $109,000 to $149,875; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
