Description

Discovery Community College is seeking a highly organized and relationship-focused Workforce Development & Funding Coordinator to support funded training programs, workforce development initiatives, and community partnerships.
In this role, you will coordinate participant recruitment, project delivery, stakeholder engagement, reporting, and compliance activities while helping individuals access training and employment opportunities.
This Full-Time on-site opportunity offers a dynamic and rewarding work environment and may lead to long-term career growth within the College.

Work Location: Surrey – 10040 King George Blvd, Surrey, BC V3T 2W4
Salary range: $50,000 to $65,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate workforce development projects, participant onboarding, and program administration.
  • Support recruitment activities, information sessions, applicant tracking, and enrollment processes.
  • Monitor participant progress and collaborate with internal teams to support retention and successful outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate participant records, reports, and funding documentation.
  • Liaise with employers, community agencies, referral partners, and funding organizations.
  • Assist with grant reporting, audits, compliance reviews, and outcome tracking.
  • Research labour market trends, workforce needs, and funding opportunities.
  • Support proposal development and funding applications.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in Business, Human Resources, Education, Community Development, or a related field.
  • Experience in project coordination, workforce development, education administration, community programs, or a related environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with funded programs, grants, community partnerships, or employment services is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and database management systems.
