Description

Discovery Community College is seeking an entrepreneurial and results-driven Workforce Development & Funding Partnerships Manager to lead the development, acquisition, and delivery of funded training programs and workforce development initiatives.
This role is responsible for identifying funding opportunities, securing grants and partnerships, managing funded projects, and building relationships with employers, community organizations, Indigenous partners, and government agencies. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding access to education and employment opportunities across British Columbia.

Work Location: Surrey – 10040 King George Blvd, Surrey, BC V3T 2W4
Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 Base Salary + Performance Incentives (Depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and secure government, Indigenous, workforce development, and community funding opportunities.
- Lead grant applications, proposals, funding agreements, and partnership development initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with employers, government agencies, Indigenous organizations, community partners, and workforce development stakeholders.
- Oversee funded projects from launch through completion, ensuring successful delivery, compliance, and achievement of project objectives.
- Collaborate with Admissions, Marketing, Education, Student Services, and Career Services to achieve enrollment, retention, completion, and employment outcome targets.
- Monitor project performance, budgets, participant outcomes, and reporting requirements.
- Prepare funding reports, outcome reports, presentations, and compliance documentation.
- Supervise and support the Workforce Development & Funding Coordinator.
- Research labour market trends and emerging workforce needs to support program growth and strategic planning.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Business, Public Administration, Community Development, Education, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in workforce development, grants, business development, project management, community partnerships, or post-secondary education.
- Demonstrated success building partnerships, securing funding, or managing funded projects.
- Strong project management, reporting, budgeting, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives while working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
