Description
Lead, coach, and develop a team of electrical and mechanical engineers Balance workload across projects and build technical capability through mentoring Foster a culture of quality, ownership, and continuous improvement Degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred) 5+ years in LV switchgear design engineering within a project-based or industrial manufacturing environment Proven experience leading and developing engineering teams Strong understanding of LVSA architecture, system design, and manufacturing constraints Knowledge of IEC 61439 standards and project execution processes Familiarity with engineering tools (e.g., EPLAN Electric P8) is an advantage Ensure timely delivery of schematics, mechanical layouts, and complete EBOM packages Ensure compliance with IEC standards and internal engineering guidelines Establish and enforce design rules to minimise errors and late changes Develop and maintain reusable design templates, modular components (e.g., feeders, layouts), and engineering standards Ensure strong alignment with Project/Order Managers, Work Preparation (EBOM → mBOM readiness), Manufacturing Engineering (DFM), and Production & Test Engineering Support resolution of technical issues during assembly and FAT Analyse engineering issues and feedback from production, FAT, and customers to drive improvements in design quality, manufacturability, and engineering processes
