About Our Family
We are a busy, active family based in the South Bay area of Los Angeles with two children, ages eight and four, and a beloved senior dog. Both parents work full days outside the home, with one parent on a hybrid schedule and the other working in-office full-time, so afternoons and evenings are the busiest part of our day. Our children are spirited, active, and involved in activities, and we have established routines and systems that help keep family life running smoothly.
We value a calm, organized home and the time we get to spend together as a family. We’re looking for someone who can become a trusted extra set of hands—helping keep the house reset, staying on top of laundry and meal preparation, supporting the kids’ routines, and taking care of the many small details that can otherwise pile up at the end of a busy day. Our ideal support allows us to spend less time catching up on household tasks and more time being present with our children and enjoying our evenings together.
Who You Are
You are proactive, highly reliable, and naturally organized. You don’t need to be handed a detailed to-do list every time you walk through the door. You can assess what needs attention, prioritize your time, and get to work. You notice when the laundry needs to be folded, the pantry is running low, the dishwasher needs to be unloaded, or the kids’ backpacks need to be ready for tomorrow, and you take care of those details without waiting to be asked.
You are efficient, task-focused, and comfortable balancing household responsibilities with kid-related needs. You’re warm and patient with children, while also being confident enough to keep routines on track. You communicate clearly and directly, take pride in doing things well, and are comfortable working independently while respecting the family’s established systems and preferences.
Above all, you are dependable, punctual, and take genuine ownership of your work. You bring a calm, steady presence to the home, understand the importance of professional boundaries, and are the kind of person a family can trust to walk in, see what needs to be done, and simply handle it.
