Summary:
We are seeking a MATLAB Testing Engineer to support model-based verification for BCM application software and automotive body electronics features. This role involves MATLAB/Simulink test case development, MIL/SIL execution, test harness creation, coverage analysis, defect reporting, regression testing, and collaboration with development and validation teams.
Roles & Responsibilities:
-Develop, execute, and maintain MATLAB/Simulink-based test cases for BCM application software and automotive body electronics features.
-Analyze system, software, and model requirements to derive requirement-based test scenarios, test cases, expected results, and verification criteria.
-Perform Model-in-the-Loop and Software-in-the-Loop testing for Simulink and Stateflow models used in BCM functions such as lighting, wiper, washer, central locking, power windows, mirrors, horn, and body access features.
-Create test harnesses, simulation environments, input stimulus data, signal monitoring logic, and automated regression test suites using MATLAB and Simulink tools.
-Perform model coverage analysis, requirement coverage checks, test result analysis, defect logging, and retesting after model or software fixes.
-Support debugging of failed simulations by analyzing signals, state transitions, data flows, boundary conditions, timing behavior, and interface mismatches.
-Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, test results, defects, and verification evidence as per project process expectations.
-Collaborate with requirements, model development, integration, validation, quality, and customer teams to clarify functional behavior and close verification gaps.
-Prepare test reports, coverage summaries, defect summaries, regression status updates, and verification evidence for internal and customer reviews.
-Ensure adherence to automotive testing processes, model verification guidelines, configuration management practices, and customer-specific quality expectations.
Professional & Technical Skills:
-Overall 4 to 6 years of experience in automotive embedded software testing, MATLAB/Simulink model testing, model-based verification, or control software validation.
-Hands-on experience in MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, Simulink Test, test harness creation, model simulation, debugging, and automated test execution.
-Experience in Model-in-the-Loop and Software-in-the-Loop testing, requirement-based testing, regression testing, test result analysis, and defect reporting.
-Good understanding of automotive ECU software development and testing lifecycle, preferably for BCM, body electronics, chassis, powertrain, ADAS, or similar vehicle domains.
-Working knowledge of test vector preparation, boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, signal monitoring, functional scenario testing, and negative testing.
-Familiarity with model coverage, decision coverage, condition coverage, requirement coverage, and verification evidence preparation is desirable.
-Working knowledge of CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, UDS diagnostics, ECU communication concepts, vehicle signals, and signal database usage.
-Exposure to requirements management, traceability, configuration management, defect lifecycle, and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, DOORS, Polarion, Git, or SVN.
-Basic exposure to ASPICE, ISO 26262, AUTOSAR concepts, software quality checks, and model verification guidelines will be an added advantage.
-Ability to work in Agile or V-model delivery environments and collaborate with distributed offshore, onsite, OEM, and supplier teams.
Additional Information:
-Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or any related stream.
