Description
Warehouse Coordinator
Torrance, CA | $20 per hour | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | On-site
Do you enjoy staying active while keeping the details organized? We’re looking for a Warehouse Coordinator who can move confidently between the warehouse floor and the desk. In this role, you’ll operate a forklift, receive and ship freight, keep inventory accurate, and help customers and vendors get the information they need.
This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in safe work, accurate orders, and keeping freight moving on schedule.
What you’ll do
- Receive and store freight: Unload containers and inbound shipments, check products for damage or discrepancies, and place merchandise in the correct storage locations. Some shipments require manually handling cartons.
- Pick, prepare, and load orders: Pull the correct products and quantities, palletize or repack items when needed, label orders, and move freight to staging areas, trailers, or flatbeds.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely: Use a forklift and other material-handling equipment to move, stack, and stage freight. Complete daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Keep records accurate: Enter shipment and order information, assist with inventory counts, prepare delivery orders, and process billing and debit note entries.
- Coordinate daily operations: Help arrange container drayage and trucking with vendors, respond to customer inquiries, resolve routine issues, and monitor warehouse supplies.
- Maintain a safe workspace: Keep warehouse areas clean and orderly, protect inventory, and follow established safety and security procedures.
What we’re looking for
- 2–3 years of experience in a warehouse coordinator, forklift operator, shipping and receiving, or freight forwarding
- Experience operating a forklift; forklift certification
- Ability to handle cartons manually and work on your feet throughout the day
- Strong attention to detail when picking orders, counting inventory, and entering data
- Clear communication and a courteous approach with customers, vendors, and coworkers
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and bring issues to the Warehouse Lead or Manager when needed
If you’re dependable, organized, and comfortable balancing physical warehouse work with coordination and customer service, we’d like to hear from you.
